2.1 I can review the on-going use of IT tools and techniques and change the approach as needed.
- When you was a year 7, what piece of software would you usually use to make posters? In the year 7 the software that was used was GIMP 2.
- What have you used for the posters(Imaging Software) you have made on this course? For my course I used the software GIMP this is because there is a range of tools that can make your work the best it could be.
- What things can you do better using this new software? The best tool is the crop option because this is a special tool as you can go around your image and crop what you need.
- Name your 1 favourite tool you have been using in this new software and WHY. My favourite tool is the crop tool and it is also useful Again this is very effective as you can cut off any white background that you need. This could also be used to cut out specific shapes.
- In Imaging software what was wrong with a particular image that you cut out from another picture in order to use? This has been used many times in my work to make a cleaner and a smooth image. The edges on the images will make my work will look to tidy.
- What did you do in order to get a cleaner cut? When you use the crop tool it will clean your background of your image. When you have fully cropped your image it will make your work look of a better quality.
- Why is it important to get a clean cut? When you use the crop tool it will clean your background of your image. When you have fully cropped your image it will make your work look of a better quality.
- When you saved your poster originally the poster size was quite big(file size). Why was this? The problem that you will have and that I have experienced was that my work was high quality and could not save the file.
- What did you have to do to reduce the file size? The work that you done that you could not save. I then had to export it to GIMP in order to reduce the file size.
- Why was it better to reduce the file size of the poster? It was better to reduce as it would help you later on. This is because our work needs to be uploaded onto a webpage that is faster.
